Exit sign and emergency light combos
An illuminated exit sign and twin head emergency light in a single fixture. One install, one battery system and, with our self-testing model, zero manual testing.
When a combo unit makes sense
Above most exit doors you need two things: an exit sign and light on the floor in front of the door. A combo unit does both from one mounting point and one circuit, which saves fixture cost, installation time and clutter. They are a smart default for doors at the end of corridors, stair doors and smaller rooms with a single exit.
Separate units still make sense where the sign and the light need to be in different places, such as long corridors that need lighting between doors. Mix our exit signs and emergency lights there.
Our combo units
| Model | Testing | Price |
|---|---|---|
| One Touch Red and Green LED Exit Sign with LED Lights | One press monthly, two press annual | $57.00 |
| Self-Testing One Touch Red and Green LED Exit Sign with LED Lights | Automatic monthly and annual | $95.00 |
Combos are the units people skip
Combo units hang high above doors, so the monthly 30-second test usually means a ladder. That is why they are often the first fixtures to slip through a testing round. The One Touch button makes the manual test one press; the self-testing combo removes it.
Frequently asked questions
Is a combo unit code compliant?
Yes, when it is listed (our combos are UL 924 listed) and the layout provides the required sign visibility and egress illumination. Your contractor confirms the layout against your local code.
Does a combo unit need two tests?
It is tested as one unit: the 30-second monthly and 90-minute annual tests check the sign and the lamp heads together.
